1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the BaoMbao Craft website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

2. Services Overview

BaoMbao Craft provides custom woodwork design, manufacturing, and installation services including but not limited to:

  • Kitchen systems and cabinetry
  • Wardrobe and storage systems
  • Doors and frames
  • Custom furniture
  • Hospitality and commercial fit-outs
  • Modular interior packages

3. Quotations and Pricing

3.1 Quotation Validity

All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified. Prices may change after this period due to fluctuations in material costs or exchange rates.

3.2 Price Inclusions

Unless otherwise stated in writing, our quotations include:

  • Design and planning
  • Materials as specified
  • Manufacturing and finishing
  • Delivery within Kampala
  • Professional installation

3.3 Additional Costs

The following may incur additional charges:

  • Site modifications or preparation
  • Electrical or plumbing work
  • Delivery outside Kampala
  • Changes to approved designs
  • Rush orders or expedited production

4. Orders and Payment

4.1 Order Confirmation

An order is confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit and signed approval of design specifications. Production begins only after order confirmation.

4.2 Payment Terms

Standard payment terms are:

  • 50% deposit upon order confirmation to commence production
  • 50% balance due upon project completion, prior to installation

Alternative payment schedules may be arranged for larger projects and will be specified in writing.

4.3 Payment Methods

We accept:

  • Mobile Money (MTN MoMo, Airtel Money)
  • Bank transfer
  • Cash

4.4 Late Payment

Late payments may result in project delays. We reserve the right to suspend work on projects with outstanding payments exceeding 14 days.

5. Design and Approval

5.1 Design Process

We provide design concepts and specifications for client approval before production. Clients are responsible for reviewing and approving all designs, dimensions, and specifications.

5.2 Design Changes

Changes requested after design approval may result in additional costs and timeline extensions. Significant changes after production has begun may not be possible.

5.3 Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate site measurements or access for our team to measure
  • Ensuring site readiness before installation
  • Obtaining any necessary permits or approvals
  • Providing access to the installation site

6. Production and Delivery

6.1 Timeline Estimates

Production timelines provided are estimates based on current capacity and material availability. While we strive to meet all deadlines, delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances.

6.2 Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, material shortages, or government actions.

6.3 Delivery

Delivery is included for locations within Kampala. Delivery to other locations will be quoted separately. Risk of damage transfers to the client upon delivery and installation completion.

7. Installation

7.1 Installation Services

Our team provides professional installation for all products. Installation is included in standard quotations unless otherwise specified.

7.2 Site Requirements

The installation site must be:

  • Accessible and clear of obstructions
  • Have completed structural work
  • Have working electrical connections where needed
  • Be free from active construction that could damage installed work

7.3 Acceptance

Upon installation completion, clients will inspect the work and sign an acceptance form. Any defects or issues must be reported within 7 days of installation.

8. Warranty

8.1 Warranty Coverage

We provide a 2-year warranty on craftsmanship and materials covering:

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Structural failures under normal use
  • Joint or connection failures

8.2 Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage from misuse, accidents, or neglect
  • Damage from modifications by others
  • Natural wood characteristics (minor color variations, grain patterns)
  • Environmental damage (water, extreme heat, humidity)

8.3 Hardware Warranty

Hardware components carry manufacturer warranties, typically 5-10 years for premium brands.

9. Cancellation and Refunds

9.1 Cancellation by Client

  • Before production: Deposit may be refunded minus 15% administrative fee
  • During production: Client is liable for costs incurred to date
  • Completed orders: No refund for completed custom work

9.2 Cancellation by BaoMbao

We reserve the right to cancel orders in exceptional circumstances. In such cases, all payments will be fully refunded.

10. Intellectual Property

All designs, drawings, and specifications created by BaoMbao Craft remain our intellectual property. Clients receive a license to use designs for their specific project only.

11. Photography and Portfolio

We may photograph completed projects for our portfolio and marketing purposes. Clients who prefer privacy may request in writing that their project not be featured.

12. Limitation of Liability

BaoMbao Craft's liability is limited to the value of the order. We are not liable for consequential damages, loss of use, or indirect losses.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to the laws of Uganda and the jurisdiction of courts in Kampala.

14. Website Use

14.1 Accuracy of Information

While we strive to ensure accuracy, we do not warrant that website content is error-free. Prices, specifications, and availability are subject to change without notice.

14.2 Links to Third Parties

Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of these external sites.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
