BaoMbao was founded with a simple belief: that African woodcraft could compete with the best in the world if we combined traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing systems.
Our name, "BaoMbao" (meaning "wood" in Swahili), reflects our deep connection to the material we work with every day. We see wood not just as raw material, but as the foundation for creating beautiful living environments.
Today, from our workshop on Banda Kyambogo Road, we serve homeowners, hospitality operators, developers, and design professionals across Uganda and beyond. Every piece that leaves our workshop carries our commitment to quality, beauty, and reliable delivery.

Where It Happens
Our Workshop
Located on Banda Kyambogo Road, opposite Banda Martyrs Church, our workshop is where raw timber becomes beautiful living spaces.
The workshop houses our design station, cutting and shaping area, assembly floor, and finishing room. Modern machinery works alongside traditional hand tools, allowing us to achieve both precision and artistry.
We welcome clients to visit and see our work in progress. There's something powerful about watching your kitchen take shape on the workshop floor.
